ReplyDeleteI have been faring about on your watery ways since before the holidays, gobbling up your books and watching travel videos so I can better 'see' your memoirs. But two nights ago I discovered HOW TO BREED SHEEP, GEESE AND ENGLISH ECCENTRICS , and in a marathon of laughing, weeping, giggling and snorting, I finished it in one go. The scene where Maisie and Jeanie shove Emily into the Renault 4 and her horns pop out the roof is epic!
Is there possibly, in the gap between this book and AFRICAN WAYS, more stories of the English eccentrics? These characters have made a place for themselves beneath my funny bone, and I would so much like to spend more time with them.

Hi Cathie, what a lovely lovely comment to find. Thank you SO much. This has made my day. I'm also delighted you discovered my Eccentrics and enjoyed it so much. Sadly, no. I haven't written anything more about them. It was a joy for me to write it, but in the greater scheme of things, it hasn't done very well, so although I'd love to write a sequel or even just more stories, they've always remained on the back burner. Maybe I will after I've finished the two books I'm currently working on, but thank you SO much.
