I'm quite sure that's how Sindy sees it anyway, although Koos might perhaps disagree. Like Anne Marie's Whiskey with Austin, Sindy is convinced that Koos is top God and has to be followed to the ends of the earth. The only challenge to her devotion is a good piece of trash, and then her loyalty is somewhat questionable, but like all good instruction manuals for dogs, hers says: to avoid disappointment, don't offer a choice!
Still, I think this photo of Koos and Sindy is too lovely and whether they like it or not, I'm publishing. Sindy wanted it on her own blog of course, but I told her she had to be content with the video she's busy editing. Koos, on the other hand, thinks it totally ruins his image of being indifferent to dogs - it does rather, doesn't it? I just think it's gorgeous.
As if that strategic grass growth is good for my image...

Koos, your image remains untarnished - competing with the grass growth could do nothing to sully it!
Thanks Grace! Actually, Sindy was saying "do we really have to walk any further?" the poor baby was really tired!
ReplyDeleteDale, yes, the pic was snapped yesterday. Spring has sprung with sudden and elaborate profusion. Just a week ago, it still looked very early.

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Vally (yes, I'm still alive). Koos looks positively serene. The colour is superb - there's nothing like the vibrant greens of new growth.
ReplyDeleteWonderful surroundings, a faithful friend, and presumably your gorgeous self taking the picture. Life is good, yes?
Oh, and I share your affection for cows too. My personal favourites are Jerseys - those eyes! They do carve up the paddocks though. At the moment we have goats in the "home paddock" at the Bay. (Not as grand as it sounds, believe me). They're very docile, and love to be hand-fed when you walk up to them, although they're really there to keep the blackberry and ragwort down. Soph spends hours just sitting with them. A strange and wonderful child.
Val, this photo speaks happiness to me... from the green grass to the smile on Sindy's face to the look of abject friendship on Koos'!

Margie, life is good indeed when you have all those things. As for the cows, I have been charmed by all the lovely comments, verses and word plays my cow post has evoked. I too love the Jerseys although we don't see many of them here - the milk is too rich, I suppose, and according to the EU it's bad for us (groan), but they are the most beautiful of all cows and I think Sophie has something special if she enjoys sitting with them. They are such restful souls.
Sue, I agree, the Brahmins are also lovely! I think they have achieved that stature of dignity by being so well worshipped ;-)
Grace, my Sin is doing well on her new medicine, so although she is still cautious and tires more easily than before, she can at least enjoy a good run now.
And Hans...LOL...I'm glad you picked that up, but I was playing there...and to Sindy, Koos is a god!
