Walking round the harbour this morning, I came upon this very special sight...I guess someone had a sense of humour.Later on it had thawed right away. Thanks to my little phone camera, I didn't miss the moment for once.

ReplyDeleteLOL Dale, Gypsy's blog in real life! The intriguing thing here is that the ice had by this time melted to such an extent it looked as if the chair was sitting on the water!
ReplyDeleteAM, Stefan and String, we've had no snow here this year. It's been too cold, so all the white stuff in my other photos is just the result of accumulated frost - something we haven't seen since I've been living here. Despite the tides and moving currents then, the harbour was half frozen over and. I think it must have been fun to sit there, but by the time I saw it, it was already too late.
It's raining now.

ReplyDeletewe've had, just like last winter, more snow than I remember since childhood. I love it. This is the winter children should have, although it's going to be a high of -18 C and that's not exactly conducive to making forts and snowmen.

I wonder if the chair was placed there to admire the reflections? Or did a good soul place it there for whoever feels weary on his/her travels? A wonderful discovery :-)
