These are a few of my favourite things

Bright painted tractors and rusty old street cars
Chuffing old steam trains with rock falls and dramas
Scenes of my Africa warm with the sun
This is indeed what I really call fun

  1. My favourite is picture two, of the rusty car. There's something in rusty cars lying about on street sides, some strange charm.

  2. Hi Val,

I'm back again. Hope you and Koos feeling good.
The pic with the old cars I love. Old cars have a special charisma.

    Have a great week.

    Love

  8. I really do love all these old things, you know, and have quite a pash for old tractors..lol!

The old cars are a collection on the farm where Momo was living in Grahamstown. Now she has moved to a place near a town called Hotazel ...just say it, and you'll soon realise why it's called that. It's in the Northern Cape province, and with temperatures upwards of 40 degrees in the summer, the area has the most extreme temperatures in SA.

The tractor was in daily use on the same farm too. Love it! As for the train, that was a special trip we did while we were staying with Craig's parents, and was the best day of the holiday for Koos!

Thanks for coming by dear bloggy friends, and sorry I've been such an occasional visitor of late. It's just that time of year, and when I'm not working into the wee hours, I'm sleeping to catch up. It will be better soon, though...till then xxx
