A trailer for WateryWays

I wonder how this will work. My first attempt at a trailer for promoting my book.

  1. Oh well done, Val - I'm deeply impressed. It's a great trailer (for a great book!)

Do let us know if it helps in the marketing department - I've not done trailers as I can't get my head round the technology, but if it makes a big difference I might have a word with son-in-law.

  2. Oh Jo, thank you so much! I wrestled with the iMovie programme as wretched Apple have changed everything and it's not half as user friendly as it used to be. I love doing editing and things like this, but I get very frustrated when I can't figure out how it works. This is just a beginning, though. If I get better at it, I'll replace this one and try some others. If you want one and get stuck, maybe we can put our heads together!

  4. Anne, it's far from what I really want it to be. In fact, Michelle Heatley (her blog Fish Soup) is in my side bar) put me on to this. She is very good at them and my aim is to make mine look as professional as hers do!

  5. Hi Val .. that was great ... and I'm so pleased for you - gives us an idea of your watery ways ..

It's that first try and first few tries as we master the new technology ... I think that's a very credible first go ... and I loved seeing parts of Rotterdam ...

Cheers and Happy Easter - Hilary

  6. That is brilliant. You are clever. I've never tried anything like that before. Like Jo says, do let us know if it improves marketing.

  7. Thank you so much, Hilary and Ros. You really are very kind. I'll let you know if it achieves anything, and I'll also work on improving the technique. Watch this space :-)

Carol, always welcome, you know that, but this gives you a taster! If I get good enough at it, you can do it all vicariously :-)
